Acoustic wall panels or just regular decor?

Home office echo is driving me nuts during calls. Thinking about adding some wall panels for sound dampening that also look nice. Anyone tried wood or fabric wall panels? Recommendations on style/material?

Wall panels made a noticeable difference in our office – reduced reverb a lot and look way better than plain acoustic foam. We went with wood slat ones over fabric because they’re easier to clean and more durable. Installation was straightforward with the right adhesive/track system.
